Our Story — The Heart Behind Wicked Wipes
Three years ago, my world stopped.
My daughter was suddenly fighting for her life after going into liver failure caused by Autoimmune Hepatitis, a rare disease that may have been triggered by a virus. What followed was every parent’s nightmare: emergency decisions, complications, surgery, and a long road of recovery that demanded every ounce of strength our family had. I had already sold our family hair salon, and my entire focus became caring for her as she healed from the transplant and the complications that came before it.
During that time, when life felt uncertain and overwhelming, my longtime friend Shailesh Merai reached out. He had heard what happened and simply asked how he could support me. Then he asked a question I never expected:
“Would you be interested in starting something together?”
At first, it felt impossible. My life was hospitals, medications, and recovery schedules. But the idea planted a seed — the possibility of building something meaningful, something that could help protect other families from the kinds of viral triggers that had changed ours forever.
That seed grew into Wicked Wipes.
And now, just over three years later, we are on the verge of building our brand in Canada. A product designed to help prevent the spread of viruses, the very thing that may have set off the chain of events that nearly took my daughter’s life.
To say this moment feels surreal doesn’t even begin to cover it. I can’t fully express what it means to stand here today, with my daughter healthy, with a friend who believed in me, and with a brand built from resilience, gratitude, and purpose.
Wicked Wipes isn’t just a product. It’s a reminder of how quickly life can change — and how powerful it is when people come together to create something good from something painful.
Thank you for being part of this journey. We’re just getting started.
